Balderdash I say !!  America was built on neck bones and oxtails !! Now, they're considered a 'delicacy' and the prices have shot sky high !  So much for being able 'to eatin good in the neighborhood '.

Personally, I do prefer the 'gourmet' taste and ingredient 'structure' of the brand named Webers. It is a brand that I have had an affinity for for almost an infinity.

Oh Sir, please, the fresh is best ! Save the powdered for the 'peons'. Remember the infamous words attributed to the most lovely Marie A. "Laissez-les manger en Poudre".

BTW, I read somewhere that Marie A. abhorred pork. What a shame as pork is wonderful in French recipes.
