You`re having an absolute HOOT with these aint cha ?????.........very nice looking pieces John 👍 👍 👍
Nice builds John. I have always been a fan of the 69 Olds Cutlass.
Are these plastic kits? If so, it's nice to see them with hinged hoods.
Nice work John! Thanks for sharing with us. Two very nice models.

they're great John. Wish I could paint the door handles like that, let alone the dash on the Cobra! So pleased to see you continuing to build, its inspiration for me to keep going.

have you had a go at BMF ?
I love both of these! 1969 was a good year.

thanks so much John, I'd heard of the process but did not really know what it was or how it was actually applied. I'll work up to it. My major issue is cutting off the excess, having the knife slip, pressure required etc. The time will come though, once again thanks.
Thanks to all for you great comments. To Rich, yes these are plastic kits. Have about 100-150 more kits packed away to still build before my time is up (which I hope is a long time to come). John Barry. Yes I am having a hoot. It has been a long time coming for me to get back to building these kits. Now that 2 out of 4 kids are out of the house, it freed up a room that I could put all my cars in and build the plastic kits. Also on the Bare Metal Foil, I have some, just not tried it. I have various modelers give me pros and cons about using it verses painting. For now I will stick with painting. Geoff, painting just takes a steady hand which I am happy I still have. Using a very pointed thin brush makes all the difference in the world.
@carsman1958 There's nothing like BMF. Yes, I'm sure if you ask 100 modelers, you'll get 100 different techniques. How were all those techniques developed? Good old trial and error. So take out the BMF and go for it. There's more than enough in those packs for you to make plenty of mistakes and still be able to complete scores of models. Every time you screw up, a lesson is learned. The beauty of this stuff is you'll never do anything that isn't reversible.
