Yesterday, I may have mentioned another auction in which I was participating and Bugatti was again at the center of it, and on either side. No, it's not a conundrum, there were three Bugattis in this auction, two of which I was told are Lindberg models and the third an Italeri model. Between the three I will have two complete models, as I will 'rob' the red Lindberg of its headlamps to finish the Italeri model. I have never purchased a model from either Lindberg or Italeri, but I wanted to see what they were all about. Yes, I was still utilizing my cutlass and face mask when I acquired the three models. No, I am not ashamed in the least.

These models are plastic kits. I've had a go at both of them. They are both excellent quality kits, with detailed instructions, and good sized parts counts. They are not difficult to build, just take a bit of time, and of course there is great support from our outstanding skilled forum modelers. Both kits are very cheap on ebay.
Here's my attempts. I have painted the 1931 Bugatti Royale Type 41 Victoria Cabriolet by Weinberger in both its original and current colors.

@geoff-jowett Yes, I saw the kits on eBay and assumed the three I acquired would be plastic models. The total cost for the three was less than the price of a single malt whisky in a New York City restaurant. I am mulling over the idea of going back to building models again and I thought I might have a look at these three to see if I want to jump in.

@gdh I encourage you to give these a go. They are not what you would call difficult models. Also all parts fitted well from memory, which is not the case with some kits. Keep us posted.

I would also point out that Claude of Elegance produced a few for his own collection. All 1:43 scale.
