Each Wednesday (aka HUMP DAY) you'll have the opportunity to discuss, compare, and vote for the same year and make of a 1:24 scale diecast model produced by more than one of the Mints.

Which Mint's car was more right?  Which Mint replicated it perfectly, or did neither get it right?  Which Mint really missed the mark?  How about color?  Ride height?  Features, or lack thereof?

This weeks "HEAD to HEAD" features Franklin Mint VS. Danbury Mint with their replications of the popular and iconic 1955 FORD "CROWN VICTORIA".

VOTE and keep the discussion fluent and spirited.  Ready, Set, GO!

DM & FM FORD 55 CROWN VICTORIA #1
DM & FM FORD 55 CROWN VICTORIA #2
DM & FM FORD 55 CROWN VICTORIA #3
DM & FM FORD 55 CROWN VICTORIA #4
DM & FM FORD 55 CROWN VICTORIA #5
DM & FM FORD 55 CROWN VICTORIA #6

I have both of the models featured, the FMs colors are better than the DM, but I just like the overall look of the DM version over the one from FM. DMs version pays more attention to the fine details.

@jcarnutz, we're on the same page on this one.  I do love that yellow/black color combo though.  I think the yellow (as I call it) is actually Golden Rod, or something like that.  LOL, I could go look it up, but it's been an overwhelming day and I don't care to do much of anything more than I'm doing right now.  Smile

I can't pick one, so it's a tie for me.

John Merritt said it best. I owned a 55 Thunderbird in Goldenrod Yellow. Great comparison George.

@jcarnutz, thank you.  Guess I'd remembered it through osmosis.  Smile

Absence of a connie kit and better detail gives the vote for Danbury.
