It’s totally nuts that I’ve never added one of these. Right after I snatched the ‘58, this beauty came up at a stupid low price! Absolutely gorgeous to my eyes!
I’ll send pics when I receive the models, should be about the same time.
its a beauty Kevin, you will be very happy with it. I have it paired with my WCPD 59 cream and green hardtop. The model featured in Genos latest post.
Yep, I have this one too. It looks great with my Crown Sapphire WCPD Sedan Delivery. A beautiful set.😊
kevins, nothing boring about this beauty.Hey Geno, I meant to comment on that beautiful Delivery, a perfect companion to the ragtop! Just between you and me,( I don’t want everyone to know how boring I really am!) this would be my dream ride, no muscle car, exotic, or sports car, nah, just this.

Thanks John,I’ll have mine with an old-school 409/425!
@kevins yep glad it made it safely and it meets/exceeds your expectations Kevin. Now while u did well, I've just missed out on a glaring hole in my collection. I could have/should have easily gone to more but had some sort of brain fade!!
I have the DM 59 Impala convertible in silver and it has twisted up like a pretzel.
@bob-jackman I heard about that issue Bob. I actually bid on and lost one of those a couple of years ago. I don’t know if my information is accurate, but the exclamation I was given was that the paint somehow caused a reaction with the pot metal of the model. I heard a similar story about Danbury’s green ‘66 Corvette, which kind of made more sense as I believe that one was plastic bodied. Where’s Tony when you need him? As for you Geoff, that has happened to me many times. You’ll get another shot.
@kevins Kev, we'd be in the same boat. I'd dig one of those myself. Or a '60 Elco. I love those too. Now, on your new purchase, isnt that interior simply gorgeous?💯😁
@bob-jackman Man, I hate to hear that Bob, it seems to be quite common with those. The main reason I never acquired one. Because it is a beautiful model. I wanted one of the DM Royal Bobcat '69 GTO's really bad. I wasn't able to get one when they first came out, then I started seeing they were having the same issue. The only one I've had crumble apart was my very first precision diecast I bought. The white FM '57 Bonneville. 😟
@geno The ‘60 is gorgeous also Geno, but it’s kind of civilized next to the outrageous ‘59. If I ever have a classic it will have to be something totally otherworldly, kind of like the newest one that I have on order, I’ll post when I get it. It’s another one that I should have gotten long ago! I think the interior will be at the level of the Impala, which you are correct, is a work of art in itself! See you on the flip-flop Big Kahuna.
