The ‘58 Impala is one of my top five favorite automobiles. I realize its styling is off putting to some, but I absolutely love it. So over the top but so damn cool, you know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! My point being, why did it take me so long to snag a model of my own. A while back I was set on getting one but couldn’t decide on which variation, they all looked nice. Kind of put it on the back burner until scrolling through eBay and saw this one (not exactly this one, but one like it, haven’t gotten it yet) It was like it was the first time I’d seen it, just screamed at me to purchase this beautiful thing! Yeah, I know, I should write romance novels. Anyway, I’m stoked!
The '58 Impala is gorgeous in any scale or color...yours is looking extra special in silver blue!

Kevin, you will love it. I too love the 58 Impala having owned a 1/1 hardtop in white with a turquoise, black and silver interior. Mine had the 348 four barrel with factory continental kit, skirts, dual antennas and spinner wheel covers. I sold the car to a guy who lives about 120 miles from me and every year he brings it to our car show and every year I regret selling the car but you can't keep then all.
Fantastic Kevin, what a great score. I'm sure you'll enjoy that bad boy.💯👍😎
Good snag. I have the Sierra Gold version and the Glen Green, they are so nice.
The '58 Impala is an amazing car and model, congrats on your buy. You should be very pleased with it. I'm not sure how many DM actually did, but I have 6 of them.

@geoff-jowett Thanks to all, I know I’m going to be happy as a pig in shi…uh, mud! OK Geno, you’re forgiven bud!
@geoff-jowett Funny that you mentioned that, I’ve already planned to possibly replace with straight pins. I’ve done a couple that had missing or broken antennas, just don’t know if it may affect the value on a pristine model.
I ALWAYS replace my overly out of scale antennas with straight pins. Kevin, it really shouldn't hurt the value, it may actually enhance it because they look more realistic. 😊
Back in the day we used to replace antenna on our 1/1 with coat hangers. Worked OK but seemed to cause static on the 8 track.
