While my diecast collection remains static, Slot Cars are now in my life.
Grin And; today's 1:32 scale slot cars are awesome! I am currently running about 64' of track, and have 13 cars. I started back into slots back in November.

Yeah! They rival quality diecasts! But; they run! And; they run fast! Yee Haa!! Not to mention; they all have unique characteristics.

Below is a link to how I displayed my collection in our new home. The Motorsport room is 20' x 19'4". The Slot Car track is currently on the floor. 😐 On the landing coming up to the bonus (Motorsport) room, I have 2 beer frigs, and some of my Andretti collection.

Slotracing in the snow ...

This is a tip I got from a magazine, I've tested it when I used to have a scalextrics racetrack, and it's FUN! You can drive your rallycars in the snow when you don't mind making a little mess. If you have carpet on the floor, place a plastic underground. Build up your track and test it before you proceed, if it works, take a bag of flower and spread it out on your tracks (with a sifth), about 2-3 milimeters is enough. Then clean the guidencestrips with your finger. Now you are ready to race. Drift your slotcars trough the curves. Cleaning is easy, whipe the cars and the tracks with a fine brush and clean the big mess with a vacuumcleaner. This seems like a lot of work but shure is worth it.
It could be I've misspelled some of the above, excuse me for that.
Have fun playing in the snow...

Foster ...

Beautifull looking dog you have Greg, I have an Irish Setter, Itchy. But unfortunately my friend is very sick and I spend the last days together with her. This thursday will have to say goodbye to my dear friend. She's only 8,5 years.

I understand. Things like this take time to heal.

One of the hardest things we have to do in life, Dirk, is to put our pets to sleep. Remember, it's an act of love; the very last such act we are able to show them:)
