@georgeschire I received my Grail model this afternoon and haven’t had time to fully take it all in. My initial thought is.. HOLY CRAP, this thing has to be the pinnacle of Danbury Mint modeling!
No doubt DM was at the top of their game, having set the bar really high for diecast modeling. And it's incredible replica's like this Buick that make the diecast demise so much harder to accept, still all these years later. The models were so real and replicated to a perfection that was hard to fathom. After seeing your photos, I paid a visit to my car shelves and again marveled at my model of this Buick. It gives me goose-bumps.

Thanks Kevin, appreciate your encouragement. Bobs endorsement earlier in your post is still "ringing in my ears" so to speak!@geoff-jowett Good Luck with that Geoff, I looked for months for one I could afford and finally bought one that I couldn’t afford. This Buick has to be one of the three rarest DM’s I’ve ever hunted down, the ‘49 Merc surf wagon, and the ‘35 Ford, ‘last DM’ model being the other two. ( not to mention that my very first car was a ‘55 Buick Special.) You won’t regret owning one, it’s a Masterpiece in my opinion!
She's a beauty Kev, enjoy buddy. My wife loves my models and has bought me several over the years, AND has even claimed some as her own, lol. She is definitely MY bestest half.😉💯
@geno I always appreciate you brother Geno!
@georgeschire Nicely said George. My wife is my princess also and the nicest person I ever met. I tell people if you don't like her it's your fault because she never did anything to anyone for you to dislike her. I have truly been blessed for sixty plus years.

Bob, your message makes me smile. The thing about marriage (at least from my perspective) is that it's so easy to make it work like a well oiled machine, and yet (sadly), for so many it's such a mess. I've got dozens of stories of family and friends making it so difficult. God Bless you and your wife Bob! Give her a hug many times a day and always let her know that she is the sunshine in your life. I do this everyday with my Lorraine, she is, always has been, and will always be...my princess!
