Absolutely Bob,

I am saying in my post that I wish this 1/18th Cadillac announced today by BoS Models to be also offered in 1/43 scale. Let's hope BoS will reduce it for us too.

It should delight, including myself, the rising number of collectors demanding for more models from the sixties.

Plus this colour combo is really attractive! 😉

Yes, I would definitely buy in 1/43. I am actually tempted to buy in 1/18 but space is becoming an issue again.

Hi Michel, you are right,

But as BoS Models is the home brand of Model Car World ( MCW ) and that MCW bought NEO years ago, projects are usually shared for both brands.

It's not rare to see a NEO becoming a BoS so in this particular case, I hope to see this De Ville 63 reduced in our beloved scale, no matter the brand.

😉

[PICS] 1963 Cadillac in 1:43

I know not everyone likes the old Franklin Mint models - mass-produced for the non-specialist market and with pretensions to being something more. And of course there are those shut-lines.

But ... I think their '63 Cadillac convertible is quite a handsome model in its way. Not being a great Cadillac enthusiast or specialist, maybe I'm easily pleased, and I may miss the finer points of detail accuracy, but for me its gives a pretty good overall impression of a Cadillac of the era, even if it's not good enough for the real cognoscenti amongst us.

Shame they over-did it a bit with the black wash on the grille (but then they didn't have the benefit of my expertise)

Perhaps their ignoring your expertise led to their downfall? BTW, not a bad looking model!

BoS makes this Cadillac and a '68 Buick Electra in 1:18. I'd buy a 43 in two seconds!

Hi Graeme, This Eldo wasn't bad at all, maybe the cut lines were rough you're right but overall, a decent Cadillac back then.

A couple of years ago, some serious websites were announcing a new version of this Eldorado in 1/43 by PremiumX, as well as some Seville and Fleetwood Brougham 1993, all from PremiumX. I was expecting this 63 Eldo but unfortunately, it never came ! 🙁

So nice! I also love Claude's 1963 Series 62 coupe conversion.
