I started with a Matchbox 1913 Cadillac "Yesteryears" model. After disassembling and stripping the body, I cut off the hood and made a firewall. The engine was made from brass and aluminum. A differential, driveshaft and exhaust was added underneath. Body was primed and dark blue paint applied. I discovered from my research that all 1913 Cadillacs were painted dark blue.A customer could special order a different color for an additional cost.

Great job Ken. I like your modifications.
Good one, Ken.ย Your abilities are evident, and I thank you for your fine photography also.ย I can almost hear that engine!

Very nicely done. Too bad the MOY is 1/48 instead of 1/43.
1/48th? Close enough!ย Great job on that removable hood and engine!

1/48,9. Practically 1/49. The shape of the fenders corresponds to 1912, by the way. However, the model turned out to be interesting.
