During 80s- 90s a French company Eligor was producing a superb range of diecast 1932 Ford V8. This range included Tudor sedan, Fordor sedan, Riadster, van, pickup, fourgone and many soecial variants like service and emergency vehicles. There were dizens varisnts of liveries.
Recently I have purchased Roadster belonged ti San Francisco Fire Department packed in the early green box. This model is very nice and neat. Spoked wheels are very good for diecast replica.
The models packed into green boxes produced during early- mid 80s were completed with a mini catalogue. Catalogues and leaflets were different in many cases.
I have one mini catalogue. Here are some pages. Pay attention that cars were designed by the artist very professionaly.
On the hardcover we see Bugatti 35 and a year of the issue - 1982.
The first page shows us incredible convertibles Traction Avant.
The third page- absolutely magnificent and unique- Panhard Dynamic Berline. The picture represents the late version of the car where steeeing wheel has trafitional position. The first models had a central steering wheel.
Page 3 and 4- a drlection of the 1932 Ford V8 Fourgones in different liveries of the companies operated in 30s.
Are the next pages of this mini catalogue interesting for you snd does anybody have other Eligor catalogues and leaflets?
I think that Eligor has made several types of mini catalogues. Would be nice to see others if anybody has.
Fred, I have one of Eligor's 1932 Ford V-8 panel delivery trucks and it has always been one of my favorites. It is a yellow Kodak vehicle and it displays and photographs extremely well.
I know you can't see it, Fred, but hobbyDB has some nice Eligor catalogs of different sizes - https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplaces/hobbydb/subjects/eligor-brand
@fred-eliseeff I have a few Eligor models that I collected when I first started collecting models many years ago. I have always liked them and they are still a part of my collection.
I collected most issues of Eligor in the 1980s. I have kept all their Jaguar and Bugatti variations plus a variety of others. For the time, they were excellent. Every model came with a small catalogue as shown by Fred. These were updated steadily as new models were issued.
Unfortunately, hobbydb website doesn't work on my area and I can't see these catalogues.
In the next posts I'll show and comment other pages of my catalogue, others Ford V8 by Eligor from my collection and tell about evolution of the boxes.
Today we continue watching mini catalogue by Eligor.
The pages which I show today contain a selection of Fords V8 pickups in different liveries, inexpensive French pre- war cars- Peugeot 201 Berline and Renault Berline Juvaquatre.
Another page demonstrates luxury 1930 Talbot Pacific Limousine. Hotel edition has luggage on the roof.
When I started collecting model cars in 1983, my first model was a black 1933 Ford V8 pick up, then followed the roadster. Then followed the sedans, taxis, police cars and vans...
it was a Ford-only collection at that time.
Almost every model received a "custom treatment" with the Ford "plum" painted blue, resin headlights added and some extra painting like whitewalls.
Came a time when I purchased my first Minimarque white metal 1936 Ford roadster, which was a gamechanger
and led to an expensive but wonderful journey - but that's another story...
