In the 1960s and early 70s, Politoys made some outstanding toy cars.  By the late 1970s or 1980s, they were known as Polistil or Polistil/Tonka for their larger 1/24 or 1/25 toy car.  These were mostly not good at all, but a friend in Copenhagen recently gave me a larger one.  Here is the Alfa Romeo Giulietta in 1/43 and 1/25 scale!  Check out the non-grill!  Ugh..  The 2nd gen Giulietta was introduced in 1977, so these toys came out  after around 1981.

More toys from my recent trip to Copenhagen.  From a friend and from a dealer!  Third party decals for the Swedish VW importer - 1962.  Old Vilmer Mercedes next to a 1/43 Tekno!

I think 1/25 Politoys encouraged Luis Biasatti to make plastic Eurostil range in addition to Galgo models.

The Swedish VW looks very similar to the Type 3 notchback my wife had when we got married.

Very nice scores there ! As a kid (and even now) I would be delighted with such a model automobile to have for my own.

I used to have several Schuco toy automobiles my Dad got me when I was a kid. (or at least actual age-wise in the kid category, lol !)

I still have some.

@karl Thanks Karl. From the angle in the pictures, the rear fender looked somewhat different. Ours was a 1963 which my wife bought while in Europe.
