1941 Packard 180 LeBaron Sport Brougham
Coachbuilder LeBaron’s final catalogued Packard offerings were mainly formal limousines, which were to be driven by a chauffeur. In 1941 an only an owner-driver variant was offered, the Sport Brougham. It featured a striking design, with narrow chromed window frames and a “formal” rear window on the shorter 1907-series chassis, as well as a fully for the day appointed five-passenger interior. Only 99 sport broughams were built, and survivors are less than 20.

Great writeup and pictures David. Thanks for sharing.
Packards are one of my most favorite marques to see at car shows !
What a gorgeous model you have.

Here's one of my favorite pics of my friend, Bruce, who was a 'treasure trove' of Packard knowledge and peaked my interest in them.
He grew up in Pasadena and was lucky enough to 'convince' Packard owners to sell them to him if they balked at high repair costs.
I never found out how many he 'cared' for at one time. And I never will because unfortunately he passed away a few years ago. I cried as if he were my brother. Bruce was my go- to car show guy.
That pic was taken at the Concourse Show at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA.
A very good friend of mine owner a '41 Packard 180 LeBaron Sport Brougham just like this, same color, except his had dual side mount tires.
His wife drove a'42 Packard convertible Victoria, cream, tan top and oxblood leather interior. He owned 3 other very nice Packard's also.

David, I have the same model and I agree with you wholeheartedly - it's special! Thanks for posting your fine pictures, too.
Thanks to John Sharisky, I found out that the mascot was missing from the hood of this model. A search located it and I must say this is the closest to correct size of any Packard mascots that I have seen. I did not notice that it was missing as the chrome strip goes right up to the grill.
Anyway, here is the mascot safely attached.
