In 1949, Mercury introduced a totally new designed car. In Canada, it was known as the Monarch and differed from the US Mercury only in trim and different front grill. Brooklin made a model of the 1949 Monarch for the CTCS show. A while back I came across the following advertisement.
I was surprised to see that beginning in 1949, the Monarch was offered in a 2 tone paint scheme. Since I love 2 tones and tri-tones of the '50s, I decided to convert a 1949 Brooklin Monarch into a 2 tone. Here's a few pictures of the finished product.
Excellent. Great job.

Very nice Ken. Quite an eye catcher. Thanks for sharing.
Your workmanship is amazing. Love the result.
I love what you have done to this Monarch Ken. I recall this car and color combo back in the day. My best friend's older brother had a 50 Ford in the same colors.
Ken, your Monarch is incredible. Great color combination and interior detail. Brings back memories of the Canadian cars I used to see on our family summer vacations to an island in Georgian Bay, Ontario. I was fascinated by the variations among the Canadian models. While I have the standard maroon Brooklin Monarch which is a nice model, your Monarch raises its beauty to a higher level. What a treasure you have created.
