Completed the 1956 Ford Fairlane four door hardtop conversion to add to the inventory in this dealership. Some are Altaya conversions some are Vitesse conversions and one is a Brooklin. The transporter is an IXO with a 1956 Ford F-600 tractor by Automodello. Not shown are three '56 Ford F-600 COE trucks, a '56 Thunderbird, and a 1956 Fairlane Town Sedan four door sedan.
And close ups of the four door hardtop.

These all look excellent and all the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury cars for 1956 were great and really attractive automobiles. A fine set-up at this dealership !

I agree. The 1956 Ford was the best one of that decade.
Awesome '56 Fords! Most agree that the "1956 face lift" gave Fords a better look than they had in 1955. Also, the 4-door hardtops are rare today; not many survived.
John, your 1956 line-up reminds me of 1/18 1956 FoMoCo line-up I did many years ago. Great conversions, great pics...thanks for sharing!
John, I'm very impressed of your models and their conversions, they look wondedful! Thank you for the opportunity to see a history in miniature.
1956 Ford's range looks amazing.
The four door hardtop 56 is a rare car and makes a fine addition to any collection.
Great job on all the '56s. I especially like the 4 dr htp. I never new that Ford made a 4 dr htp in 1956. Apparently it was called the Fairlane Victoria. Just over 32,000 were made.
- Excellent diorama and models, John. Don't know how you are able to modify such tiny cars, way beyond my meager abilities.

Thanks, actually all of the big three, Plymouth, Chevrolet, plus Dodge and Desoto, Mercury and Pontiac jumped into the four door hardtop market following Oldsmobile, Buick and Cadillac in 1955. Chevy Belair in this photo. And Chevrolet actually did a 210 version as well.
And the Plymouth,
And the Dodge and Desoto
