Now that I’ve learned how to turn color pictures into black and white photos it’s fun to see our little cars in different shades.  In some ways it seems to me that cars and backgrounds seem very realistic. Here is Brooklin’s ‘57 Bel Air.

Yes, very artistic. Unfortunately, by showing a colour-free image you are just laying yourself open to potential abuse.

David, nice photos. Black and white photos of cars from the 1950s and earlier with a background scene look very realistic. Good job.

@graeme-ogg I thought you were going for the Chevrolet from the 1958 movie Mon Oncle.

That's from Russ Meyer's 1963 B-movie (north American release) "Naked Space Gals from Space with Spray Guns and Crazy Paints."

For me, the purple just ruins the whole aesthetic. Some people have no taste!

Long before it was commercially available,  I cranked this one out in a more authentic color,  a replica of a new car owned by a neighbor when I was a boy and just getting started in the model collecting world.  And now I wouldn't mind finding a four door sedan.
