Great versions of the classic song ! Actually, Dave Mason (originally from the U.K. band Traffic) played on both the tremendous Hendrix version (12 string rhythm guitar) and his own cover in 1974. I saw Mason do that one live at Northern Illinois University fieldhouse in about 1980 and much later in a concert near Riverside, Illinois at a Lyons, IL park.

Wish I had seen either one of them live, but I have been to the Loveless Motel/Cafe a few times (10 minutes from my childhood home in Music City)! Last time was in a Lancia with Skip!
