The Dartline was a spring moulding option introduced in April 1958 by Chrysler. Rather than pay the extra charge for the moulding, most buyers opted for the more expensive Saratoga. As a result, these Dartlines are rather rare. Below is an internet picture of a 4 door Dartline. In addition, a Dartline in 1/43 scale.

Learn something new everyday. Thanks Ken. Who made the model?

I built the model from a Western Models 1958 Chrysler kit. I had to add the wire moulding to make it into a Dartline.

I like what you did there, Ken!

Chrysler really downgraded the Windsor for 1958, moving it to the shorter wheelbase Dodge/DeSoto Firesweep chassis. No longer a "real" Chrysler!

A very nice job. I never heard of the Dartline, let alone ever seen one.

Wow, Ken.  Way more talent than I have.  Very cool and I never knew about this car.

Interesting. Add me to the list of those who had never heard of the Dartline. Maybe this is where they got the idea for the name Dodge Dart.

Great job with the modification.  Always interesting to replicate some unusual production car.
