One more interesting Rambler, the 1969 Rambler American by VAM. (pic)

First, the 1:1-

Here is the VAM 1:43 2-door.

The box is packed away, but if I remember correctly (that's becoming a rare event!), I ordered this from China; it was made for a market in Mexico a few years ago. It's diecast metal with plastic underneath. Much of the "chrome" is painted. The corporate name VAM is at times associated with IXO and Altaya.

In my opinion, it's a realistic model of a car that was not a leader in 1969 and not remembered very often today. But it's a decent model of a rarely modeled automobile.

That's nice, David. I'd like to find one.

Harvey, thanks for posting, I remember having that exact one back in the early sixties.

Sadly like most of my model cars, they were lost in the dirt roads made in the back yard of my childhood.

And a related car made by Renault in Argentina

An IKA Renault Torino that used a 3.8 liter OHC inline six from Kaiser. There were also four door versions all done when there was a linkup between AMC, Renault, and Kaiser.
