Excellent ! I really like this '60 Dodge. Great color, too.
Also in blue, which I kind of prefer. Another nice item from Trax.
Ah, if only Chrysler Australia had offered the '62 Plymouth as well as (or instead of) the '62 Dodge, then Trax might have given us a decent model of that as well. Just have to hope Sergio might get around to it one day.

Having been tempted by this new Trax offering it took me a little while to remember that tucked away in a drawer I have a couple of 1960s Dodges made by Western Models. They did the Polara rather than the entry-level Dart, and they captured the look of the car pretty well. And of course they did proper chrome window framing, which Brooklin hadn't really got around to back then.
The front end shows some rather heavy (and slightly over-scale) detailing typical of white metal models at the time, but it's not too bad.
Still the Trax does look rather crisper and cleaner, the hardtop roof is a pleasant shape and although the Dart was the cheaper car, the grille, as reproduced on the Trax, is arguably more striking and attractive.
Drat. I may have to get one.
