Greenlight recently issued a 1970 Ford F100 Ranger XLT in 1:43 and it was available in 4 color schemes. Over all it’s a fairly accurate replica with the exception of those rear tail lights which aren’t quite right. These are still available while supplies last.
I am wondering, however, if Greenlight has abandoned 1:43. No current Jeep Wranglers and it seems as though Greenlight is now focusing on 1:64 with their current releases. Does anybody know?

Oouch! That entire tailgate is a mess.

The tail lights look more like those of the 61 Ford pickup. Very odd indeed. Too bad because the rest of it seems decent enough.
Yeah, that tail gate is pretty bad.

All things considered; the overall model is pretty decent. The tailgate was the turn off for me.

I wonder if Greenlight borrowed it from a S American partworks; they have shared molds with Ixo before... Would that version have different tail lights?
or maybe not: https://www.ixomodels.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1919
Hmm.... The plot thickens 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤨
Wish that tailgate wasn't such a hot mess. My Dad's last vehicle was a 70 but not an XLT. His was Yucatan Gold, a greenish color. I just have to pass, sadly.
I know nothing about the finer details of this vehicle but it's interesting that on the old Ixo website the tail lights are different and the "FORD" seems to be better positioned. Maybe this version does come from a South American partwork series because in that part of the world they often kept the same basic car or pickup body for years and just "updated" it with new grilles or trim from time to time rather than switching to the latest US body. So maybe it is a bit of a mongrel.
