My latest acquisition from the DeAgostini muscle car series arrived this morning.

Quite striking in its all-yellow livery, and generally speaking it is up to the usual standard of body accuracy and detailing, including the body graphics and raised-lettering tyres.

Unfortunately it has one glaring bad point, and if this was an expensive model I would be seriously complaining.

To explain . . . There is a non-rally version with a black vinyl roof.

However, for me one of the nice styling features of this Olds (and its Buick GS sister car) is the way the roof flows smoothly down into the body sides without any break or step at the base of the roof, which is why I chose the non-vinyl roof version. But Ixo have cast a really crude and obvious line on the body, presumably as a guide for positioning the vinyl roof  . . .

. . . and once you've noticed it, you can't take your eyes off it. Looks really bad, and a real shame on an otherwise nice model. If anybody fancies an Ixo Cutlass, I'd suggest getting the vinyl roof version.

I have both of these versions and to be honest I never spotted the casting line.  I certainly should have.  Nonetheless for the price I can live with it.
