Thank you Tom and JK. Three of the articles in the July issue caught my attention.
Several of my friends in their youth had the Austin or Morris 1100 (Both the same car badge engineered and called the Austin America in USA and Canada for much of its production life.) I’m forwarding a copy of this Gearbox as it covers the Australian version extremely well.
The Citroen Traction Avant article was of special interest as I drove one of these in France back in 1962, a memorable experience on French roads. I was quite impressed with the car and this article reviewed it well.
Finally, the article on aging plastic parts on cars discussed several issues that I have noted with older vehicles both mine and of friends. My main issue has been cracking and distorting dash boards on Triumph Spitfires and TR6s,as well as steering wheel cracks on an MGA. So far, no issues with my 29 year old Mazda MX5 Miata.
That Gearbox Special edition was excellent but you did share it earlier. I reread it.
These Gearbox issues are always welcome.
Very nice article and all these real and model vehicles ! They all look great and the people look like a large, happy and dedicated group. Of course, very nice car/truck replicas are evident. But I am not sure what a "recue" vehicle is !
Love that light blue MG 1100. Norev was doing nice models even back then.

@david-knight Indeed, they were highly accurate, only let down by generic wheels in some cases. Many of the molds passed to Eligor, where they were used to make diecast metal models.
