I'm thinking of adding a '55 Belair 2 dr htp to my collection. I've seen them offered by Motorcity, Matchbox, Minimarque, Vitesse, Franklin Mint and Classic Collectables but can't tell by pictures which one is most accurate and best detailed. Does anyone have any of these in a 2 dr htp and would like to share your thoughts and any  thoughts as to which one is best?

the few matchbox models I do have display very well.

IMO, the best "bang for the buck"  is Vitesse.  Lower that rear a bit, replace that "too-thick"  antenna and live with that over-sized mirror, and you've got a nice model. 😀

A few more 1955 Chevrolets including two trucks.  Not in the photo is a convertible, Belair  hardtop, and a two door sedan.

Black wash the grill and it'll look great.

I'm with Chris. I've had several of the Motor Citys and they're good but not as accurate as the Vitesse.

I have Motor City and Vitesse versions and have to say the Vitesse is more accurate; especially the grille area.  I am waiting for Sergio Goldvarg to produce one of these and also a Nomad.  I think it would sell out immediately.  In spite of the '55 Chevy having been done by several companies in 1:43, I think all of the tri-five Chevys are long overdue for a good quality update and IMHO no one is better to accomplish this at a reasonable price point than Goldvarg.  I know I would buy every tri-five Chevrolet version they made.

Vitesse is the best. I have a convertible version.

I concur with Harvey. I chose Vitesse for my diorama because it is the best one out there for being accurate.
