A few years back Schabak released a number of VW models that were sold in the parts department at VW dealers. This is a 1995 Caravelle known in the U.S. as the Eurovan.  I bought this one from what was then Flynn Volkswagen in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. It had opening features.

Over the decades I've had some Schabak models but sadly I'm not sure what happened to them.

I still have three Schabaks, including the BMW Z1.

For some years now I have not seen a VW Eurovan (Caravelle) as they are rare. Then just this morning I spotted this one parked just a few blocks from  our house! It is in beautiful shape.

And Winnebago took these, extended the wheelbase and turned them into motor homes.  A neighbor of mine once had one. I'm sure our motorhome/camper guru, Randy Rusk has a model of it.
