Over the years Brooklin has released a number of Packards, most of which were done before chrome detail was a feature added to models. Even without the chrome detail, these models were always a welcome addition to my collection which has 12 Packards. Perhaps back then we didn’t know what we were missing until additional detail became the new standard.
Despite the fact that the ‘51 Packard Mayfair lacks the present level of chrome detail, it still is an impressive model of a Packard of the early ‘50’s.

A gorgeous Packard, David...I have 2 examples of this beautiful Brooklin in my collection, this one and the earlier issued maroon one.
Speaking of chrome detail, note that this one has the driver's side mirror but the maroon one doesn't, so the later color issue was improved!
P.S. I have my maroon one parked on the shelf next to Brooklin's '52 Chrysler Imperial Newport and they display beautifully together!

I agree, this is an impressive model. This color joined my collection 1st with the maroon joining a few years later. Just recently I came across the version Brooklin did without the skirts. I am very happy with them all, and that hood ornament-WOW!
Great comparison David, I really like these and the views in black & white are excellent.

This is one BRK Packard I have no desire for. It's from the chunky early days. Certainly one worth remastering.
I have always liked this model in spite of it being a little bit chunky. For its time I thought BRK made a pretty good job of it. Both color combinations are very attractive as well.
More detailed the BRK would be perhaps superior to the Madison 1951 Packard Mayfair? I had several opportunities to buy either BRK or MAD and always hesitated. The MAD looked good but not the most attractive model for the price compared to other Conquest or Madison models.
I have three of the Madison Packard models, they all look good to me. Nice detail and overall shape. I’ve never compared them to the Brooklin version. I put that on my list.

I have never seen the CNQ 1951 Packard 250 convertible Turquoise blue light except in the small Fa. Daimler House catalog from the time of Henk Van Asten the founder. This convertible looks very nice. Do you have it, John?

Yes. I can't believe it John. Looks like nothing escapes you. How do you not forget anything in such a short time? I could spend hours on your album. Thank you so much! Merci!
