I picked this one up off of eBay, it was fairly decent price. The model was in worse shape than the photos showed. Two of the wheels were broken, beyond repair. The model was filthy but otherwise seemed intact. A good cleaning and a set of Brooklin '53 Buick wheels & tires improved the model-it's a great color.

Those wheels really spruce it up!
Spectacular! I love the 59 Buick and this one is beautiful.
Looks great! Between the color, the wheels and tires, and the unique '59 Buick styling, this one must really stand out in the display case!

Nice catch John. Question...didn't the Electra have an insignia on the front fender at the beginning of the rocker panel trim?
It's always been a nice casting. You dressed it up real fine, Dr.

Great job on the 4 dr htp John. Just wondering, didn't WMCE also do a 4 dr htp 1959 Buick? Otherwise, I don't know of any other 59 Buick 4 dr htp that has been done in 1:43.
Apparently, Kess is working on one. Click here. But, I seem to remember a black 4 door hardtop from someone else. Harv?

Yes, John, I think the "flat-top" suits the crisp lines of that Buick the best of all the roof styles.

yes WMCE did a 4dr hardtop, I have one in light blue that is amazing. I am not sure what other colors were issued.

After a little bit of searching, I did find a photo of a WMCE 59 Buick 4 dr htp in black that sold a while back on Lloyd Ralston auction. Another car that I did not know even existed and is seldom seen on the secondary market is the Conquest 1955 Olds 4 dr htp. While I have seen plenty of '54s, the 1955 surprised me. I was able to scoop one up in 2 tone green today on the Bay at a reasonable price. I'm kind of glad that I didn't get the Esval 1955 Olds at the time of its release as I prefer the white metal.
@kenspear Ken, that '55 "Conquest Olds Hardtop is listed as a "98. I have the model in two-tone blue, and it is definitely stunted, and clearly an '88 or Super-88 not a '98.
It's a shame as the extended deck of the '98 really make the design sing.
