A nice older Western Models Chevy (pics)
figures by Arttista
Very nice, David. I've heard that the old WES '57 Chevy was used as the basis for the...
Chevy Nomad by Motor City - Design Studio. Can anybody confirm this? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for posting the pic.
I have just bought one on Ebay for $45 (new old stock). Nobody was interested. Funny people these Ebayers. Haven't got it yet but looks great in pic. Thanks
I have two Western Models '57 Chevvies if anyone is interested.
I was going to mess around with them but they're too nice. I think they may have minor imperfections - I'll check. I think one is a top down, the other a hardtop.
John, They will be nicer if you mess around with them ?
I doubt it! But thanks for the thought!!
John - If you do mess around with them, see if you can fix the oversize rear fender flash!
I never bought one of the old Westerns because this just did not look right.
Interested
Could be interested in the hardtop - to go with the convertible. Email me when you have checked out the condition. Thanks John
Which lends credence to Dillon's assertion above that there may be a relationship between the Westerns and the Design Studio Nomad. I have
always felt that the fender flash on my Nomad, which is just like Dillon's, is
oversized. This is a detail that must be nearly impossible to get just right.
I've had my Nomad since 1995---it was the first "high-dollar" 1:43 model I
ever bought. After it arrived from Dominion Models, I lost sleep that night
thinking that I must have been crazy to pay $175 for a 1:43 car. Little did I
know what was to come.
