A sad day
I'm sure quite a few of the readers of this forum will have known of Mick Cooling from Nottingham, who was an avid model car collector, and also a creator of model conversions based on Brooklin Models, amongst others. His work so impressed John Hall of Brooklin, that he was happy to give Mick's creations Code 2 status. Its quite possible that some of you might own an example of Mick's work. It is with much sadness however that I have to relate that Mick passed away on Tuesday 21st January, in hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was 78.

Very Sad to hear of Mikes passing. He came to our BCC AGM a couple of years ago and it was a pleasure knowing him. His upgrading work on Brooklin models was outstanding and faultless and one, if not the best, in the business.

Very sad news. One of the real gentlemen of the hobby and an inspiration to the rest of us who have attempted similar things.
