A small and fairly pointless postscript to the Kess Imperial saga (post 28626)

Having placed my order with Carmodel I got a message saying it would be delivered by a courier I'd never heard of called GLS Italy. I Googled them and found about a million people giving them one-star reviews, but only because no-star reviews weren't allowed.

Repeated non-delivery. Misdirected delivery. Packages damaged. Packages left in back alleys. Packages left at at local drop-off points without telling the customer. Packages supposedly left with an unidentified "neighbour" at a non-existent address. Claims that the customer wasn't there, when customer was sitting waiting on the front porch all day. Items apparently stolen from packages in transit. Sellers refusing to refund because the courier swore on the Bible that they had handed over the package personally and got a (forged) signature. And on and on and on.

Oh dear, I thought to myself. I am doomed. Well, the model was delivered this morning (4 days after the notification) by a nice young man who handed it over in person and wished me a good day. Goes to show you never can tell.

The underbite on the front bumper still annoys me but apart from that it looks very crisp and pretty in light metallic blue, with some very sharp detailing.

All the body trim is in good order, which is a relief because I think Kess assembly standards can be hit-and-miss. Even some specimens displayed online by Carmodel had a wonky back wheel and partly detached windscreen/windshield frame

And of course there was that red De Soto on eBay which I see eventually sold for ?79 ($105) even in a damaged condition.

OK. That's one Kess ticked off the list. Roll on October.
