A Summer Scare at Macungie

Some of you may be familiar with the Das Awkscht Fescht, which is held annually on the first weekend in August in Macungie, Pennsylvania. The principal attraction of this festival is the over 1,000 antique and classic cars on display. However, there is also a Toy Show which typically features all kinds of vendors selling all kinds of toys - including 1:43 diecast, white metal, and resin. Frankly, this year's Toy Show was a disappointment - a virtual shadow of what it once was. Perhaps the fact it was 100% outdoors (some of it used to be held in local school buildings), combined with COVID fears, kept the number of vendors down. Overall attendance seemed less than usual as well. Nevertheless, I still had a fun day. Until...... The scariest thing happened. I was innocently walking through the outdoor Toy Show, looking at each vendor's wares, when all of a sudden it happened. It was there - on a table - practically jumped right out at me. I nearly fainted, but recovered just enough to take a picture of the horror of it all. Now that I've braced you all, here it comes..... Hold on.... Take a deep breath..... I may never recover.

@bob-jackman Good point, Bob. Upon reflection, I guess we can all agree that the manufacturer of this model definitely laid an egg when coming up with this one....

i would hazard a guess it was a double yolker.

@skip, a mere pittance compared to this delicacy's overall worth to humanity.

Personally I think I would invest in a family sized bottle of Clear Eyes to stop my eyes stinging.
