I have a fair number of these De Agostini models and have generally been impressed by the finish and detailing, but as I remember you pointing out some time ago, some are less impressive than others. That Dodge Challenger looks pretty basic, with a grossly overscale metallic paint finish, and the Camaro Iroc-Z also manages to look surprisingly dull. The other two are more like their usual standard. The Buick isn't particularly to my taste as a car, but the livery is sharp.
The problem for US buyers is that you have to buy them as a set, taking the good with the not so good.

@graeme-ogg I am able to buy these cars individually from a seller in Spain whose prices and shipping are reasonable.ย This particular set has cars that are too new for my collecting taste unfortunately but usually the sets offered in recent years have contained older cars as subjects.
@jack-dodds I would be pleased to have a contact detail or web address if you have it to hand.
The finish on the Challenger is not quite as sparkly as it looks under the lights. But, Graeme is right, both the Challenger and the IROC, while they are good models (particularly the Challenger), would have benefited from different colors.ย

I think I already posted this quite recently, but this Barcelona shop is my best source
Some of the other Altaya (De Agostini) series listed on the left of the page may also be of interest

And I have been using an Ebay seller crisauto64 who indicates his items are in Italy but for some reason he seems to list them on Spanish Ebay.

Small world - I just saw TODAY a metallic green Challenger on the street.ย It was a beauty, but very very dark!
@jack-dodds Many thanks ๐๐ป
Charles;
I should have added a comment regarding combined shipping with this seller.ย In my experience, when I request that he combine shipping when I buy multiple models, his system is such that I initially pay the aggregate shipping amount without the benefit of combined shipping. This seller then always refunds me a significant portion of that amount; it is the way he has his system set up.ย He has always been honest and very prompt in completing this process. I have dealt with him very many times in recent years and have no complaint with his service; his shipping time is also very good from Spain to Canada and I have never had a model that was unsatisfactory.
@jack-dodds thanks for this heads-up. E-bay is fraught these days with different 'systems' all of which seem quite rigid and I find myself buying more often directly from model makers, just to have a quiet life. ย That said, no matter what the product, (models, 'vinyl', books) I have never had a bad experience buying from Spanish sellers - and I've bought not infrequently.
