This is a replica of a ‘57 Oldsmobile that brings back childhood memories of summer vacations spent on an island in Georgian Bay, Ontario owned by my great Aunt Mary Mosher who lived in Rochester, New York. Accompanying us on our vacation was her physician who loved the island. Aunt Mary thought it a good idea that he be with her nephew’s family as there were no medical facilities near the islands. Dr. Lie was glad to help out! The most he ever had to treat was one summer when he removed a splinter from my foot. Dr. Lie always drove Oldsmobiles and I would get to ride in his car from Rochester to Point au Baril Station where we parked the cars for the boat ride to the cottage. Several years ago, I commissioned John White to do this model of Dr. Lie’s Banff Blue and Alcon White car. The closest I could find for comparison was this 98 2 door coupe.

Great story, great model. BTW I don't know John White, but does he still do commissioned custom paint jobs? Just wondering out loud.
Unfortunately, Mark, John White died a couple of years ago. He did beautiful work. Here is his work on a ‘58 Chevrolet Yeoman wagon he did. Color scheme is Anniversary Gold over Honey Beige, a popular choice that year.

Oh i am so sorry, peace be to him. What a magnificent Yeoman.
And of course it's a tradition here to see the blue Yeoman again before the summer season ends.
Mark, I agree, it is a magnificent Yeoman in that color scheme. And the Silver Blue Yeoman will be on Martha’s Vineyard beginning on October 9 assuming we can still travel! I guess it is a tradition. I will try not to disappoint.

John White did a fabulous job of painting and detailing Brooklin models. I have a few of his models but I'm sorry I don't have more. A truly talented man. Gianlulgi your work is also superb.
