Years ago I used two different programs that came on disk. More trouble than they were worth. I've been using excel myself for a long time and the column can be customized to your needs. The only problem I have it's not compatible with MAC as far as I know so I'm confined to a pc with internet explorer for my inventory

Excel is compatible with Mac. I got it as part of the office suite in 2011 for my then new Mac.

Excel and Mac
I've been using MS Office and Excel on Macs for some time now (I'm running Office 2011 and 2016 currently). Microsoft is gradually pushing everyone to their online Office 365 (or whatever they call it now)and it works on both PC and Mac.

Gosh you guys! Is it that hard to make your own? If you list them by what is most important to you, it can be so easy. How about 1.Manufacturer 2.Make of subject 3. Model and color 4. Built or kit 5. Date bought & Price paid. Unless you have other criteria or detail that is important to you, is there anything else to expound on?

The 365 is what I found on MAC apps and it isn't compatible with my Mac for some reason

Column 1 is the date acquired, vs. dates produced in Col. 7. Description in Col. 8 can get lengthy - for some cars, like French classics, I list the chassis number, how it did at Pebble Beach, etc. so I don't wrap the text. Hence, the test file wavered into Cols. 9 and 10, which I left blank here. Col. 11 is the vehicle type (SPT=sports car, WOD for woody, 500 for Indy, etc.) so I can see how many of a particular type of vehicle I have. I color shade this column to reflect cars I've seen, or earmark future disbursements to my kids. I also use Col. 13 to list who I bought the car from, if I can remember.

I use Excel as well and for those not familiar with the software, YOU TUBE provides tutorials.
