The last Arena kit off the work bench was a bit of a disappointment compared to the prior ones I built,  1954 Dodge, 1953 Chevrolet, and the two 1951-2 Chryslers.  The body casting for the Lincoln which was supposed to represent a 1949 Lincoln EL, the Mercury based "baby" Lincoln, was ill proportioned.  Too wide and front clip too long.  It is as if they based this model on the larger Cosmopolitan series of cars.  So...to get this kit back into correct size and proportions I had to use a discarded Road Champs Mercury body (that was cut off long ago to create a woody, always save your junk) at least from the A post back.  Still the resin body front clip had to be sectioned in the nose and grafted together and the width had to be sectioned and narrowed to fit the much better and more accurate Road Champs body.   The width of a hack saw and some filing did the trick.

Quite an effort John. I think that your final result looks really good. Thanks for sharing the process. Good idea to not throw away discarded parts or damaged models. Never know.
