Anybody collect BMWs in 1/43 scale? We see a lot of VWs but never any BMWs.
I have only one BMW, a nice 2000tii Touring by Minichamps. This particular configuration, I believe, was not marketed in the U.S.

A fellow I know has one of these in red; he brought it back from Europe apparently. It is the only one I have ever seen and it is a very nice looking car.
Today we have a really good cuoice of different BMW ( except pre- war) in 1/43 scale. I know that Minichamps, Schuco, Solido,NEO, AutoArt offers the models of this brand. As to me, I have 1952 BMW 502 sedan an cabrio made by Minichamps and Detailed Cars.
BMW 502 was the second model introduced after 501 when the company began to produce cars aftre the war again. The main difference between 501 and 502 was engine. While BMW 501 had 6-cylinder engine, 502 model got V8. BMW 501/502 nickname was Barocco's Angel, because it's style had been very amazing.
And now I'd like to introduce BMW 502 made by Minichamps. This scalemodel appeared in 1994, it's one of the earliest Minichamps, packaged in grey box. Then the coloг of box will be black.
All are such good-looking BMW automobiles ! The 502 is a really a superb model.

Does Minichamps has an exclusive license agreement with BMW to have Limited Edition Models with hood and trunk operating features? It seems they were only available through dealerships.
Nice museum, thanks for photos. Living in South Carolina have you bought a BMW?
Maybe we should but we are happy with our TTS and Macan now -
We are blessed to have two cars and really only need one, as we both don't commute to work any more!

Good question - I have not seen enough to know, but MAR Online had a lot of their 1:18 scale BMW dealer promos, with opening parts...
I assumed they double counted and had dealer promos, and then normal issues as well (later, or with less detail, or just in different boxes)...
More BMW pics with 1/43rd scales hidden among the 1/18th plus some pics of 1:1's
(Am not home otherwise I could have taken some close ups of these and other 1/43rds)

1973 BMW 2002 was raced 5 years Always wanted to build a model of it.
1970 BMW 2002 was raced another five years (lighter & more sophisticated)
Still driving a 5 series BMW sedan (the third 5 since 1984)
Models = Miracles in miniature = Holding History in ones hand
Cheers and Happy Collecting,
