MCW has just posted a 360 degree revolving image of this model so you can assess it from different angles.

OK, so it doesn't really look quite so much like a wooden model, but still looks rather too boxy - it almost has a hint of a second-generation AMC Javelin about the rear pillars and hips. The roof in particular looks too tall and squared off and the whole thing looks somewhat shortened and narrowed and too tall (front screen too deep).
Curvatures should be subtler and more rounded, The top rail of the side window is dead straight (almost looks like it bows down slightly in some images), if anything it should actually bow very, very slightly upward in the middle, and its front corner should be the same height as the top corner of the windscreen/windshield, not lower.
On the other hand, according to the last of Frank R's photos, the wheels really do seem to be that big and the door mirror really is pretty far back, so maybe it's not ALL wrong, but for me it doesn't really capture the soft curves of the real car's body styling. A fairly clumsy effort, I'd say.
p.s. Given the stroppy responses I got from Neo/MCW about the shortcomings of the bent '59 Olds, there's obviously not much point in grumbling to them about a below-par model. Just don't buy it.

BOS Cuda It may not appeal to the Grumpy collectors but it will sell because it has the look that appeals to the new generation collector who is being targeted.
I'm taking the inimitable Mr. Ogg's advice.
Good man. Respect the wisdom of the Ancients

I have the Matchbox '71 Challenger in Plum Crazy, and it's a terrific model for the price. Matchbox also did a 440 'Cuda in yellow/black and it is outstanding as well. There's one on ebay now for about $16, and it blows away the one shown above.
I'm sorry, but who makes this one? it looks great!

Thank you.
Agree here Rick - those Matchbox models are under estimated.
