Brooklin 1956 Ford Fairlane (pic).I saw the 1:1 car in Mandarin
Orange at a car show last year and decided that I had to do a repaint of the Brooklin 1956 Ford Fairlane in the same color. Here's a couple of pictures before assembly.

The second picture shows the true color better than the first. Interior picture picked up more orange.
That looks great Ken ! I really like this Ford from Brooklin.
Looks to be very well done. I have a soft spot for this year Ford. My brother had one but it was a convertible. Dumb 16 year olds that we were. His top was a mess that hung in strips into the back seat. We drove it to school all winter like that. My 56 Chevy was up on blocks at the same time.

Me too. It may be lacking in detail as earlier Brooklins are, but what a great shape.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Thanks, John. Note that Fred replaced the Brooklin headlights with glass lenses, and detailed the badge on the hood and the red T-Bird engine badge on the front fenders. The badge on the trunk is similarly detailed, and even the keyhole for the trunk is chromed!
This is one of my favorite Brooklin models, because my best buddy's dad had one just like this in the late '50s.
Such an improvement!!
Love both color combinations shown here. I have one in red/black but I don't know who did the rework as I bought it as part of a collection many years ago.
Very nice indeed Ken. I've never made one this colour...
