With all the excitement over the current Brooklin releases with such increased detail, it may be hard to remember, for example, what it was like at Christmas to open the box containing a new Brooklin for the first time. I remember one such Christmas in 2005 when we were living in Dallas, Texas. Wrapped in a Brooklin sized box was BRK 29c, the ‘54 Kaiser Manhattan in Comet Blue with a white top, actually a revision of BRK 29, the ‘53 Kaiser Manhattan. I remember the excitement. While I applaud the increased detail of current Brooklin models, I remember that at least for me, unboxing a new Brooklin then was just as exciting as unboxing a new Brooklin today. Here is BRK29c. It’s still a beautiful model even though it is based on an early Brooklin release. (shown with actual car)
Sometimes just one Comet Blue ‘54 Kaiser Manhattan is not enough.

What a beautiful Brooklin '54 Kaiser ! I have several 1/18th '53 Kaiser Manhattans from Highway 61 and they are superb and a 1/43 of either the '53 or '54 Kaiser would be a treat.
Though I do not have any Kaiser models, I also have felt the excitement of unboxing a new model. That Kaiser is still a nice model.

And for Kaiser fans, don't forget the Esval version, the rarer two door sedan. Doesn't look like it's the hatchback version though.

I found the Kaiser last year at a very low price from a local dealer. This is a model that it was hard to find. You can see the price on the box 79.99 cnd dollars that mean around 63.00 usd. So i jumped on it when i see it. I agree with you David, this model is awesome for a model released so years ago.
Good find, Michel! These older BRK Kaisers still look good, and I think the price you paid was a bargain. If you want to look further, you might check on the 1/43 DIECAST 1958 IKA KAISER CARABELA from Argentina. Kaisers, basically the 1954 Manhattan (like yours) were produced in Argentina for several more years. Some nice models in our chosen scale have been produced. Have fun!
Michel, I have read and seen pictures of the Carabela, and the Argentines put some of the most fabulous interiors in these Kaisers that I have ever seen. There were also body builders there who stretched some of these into magnificent limousines, including one for a president of Argentina. Congratulations on your find!
