I like to add different color cars to my display case and I didn't have anything similar to this one. It arrived today, new in box as advertised, and it looks great. The "Hawaiian Bronze" paint job on this older Brooklin is OUTSTANDING! Look at that metallic sparkle:

I must have liked this color as I have it in three different models of 51 Fords. The Brooklin as shown by Barry, the Victoria Hardtop by MOC and the Crestline also by MOC.
I have the bronze version but it is interesting that Brooklin did two slightly different castings for these. The taxi has a side molding for a chrome strip which is painted over and the bronze one has no molding. The cars with no molding were badged as Deluxe and the molding ones were Customs. And I always thought the trunk was a little too short but I am still happy with my bronze civilian one.

You know how sometimes we collectors get a bit confused and will accidentally buy a second model? I have three of these taxis.....#2 & 3 bought accidentally, several years apart. This is the price you pay for not having all of your models out on display and going from memory. Lol.

Well said, by now I have three 1940 Ford LAPD sedans by MOC...
LOL. Well I'm glad that I'm not the only one!
This is one of my favorite Brooklins. I have all but the reverse green Modelex, as that one doesn't appeal to me. The casting has such character.

It's the paint on this one that is a standout to me.

I removed the Modelex decals from the pale green/metallic green version and I like it much more now.
