This is the next post in my Brooklin in Illinois series.  It features the 1955 Plymouth Belvedere convertible and sport coupe in Pompano Peach and Black (BRK 241x), which is the BCC 2023 Club Model.  It has several display options: top-down convertible, top-up convertible, and hardtop.  There are also a set of skirts, which can be attached.  The first photo shows the model as a top-down convertible.  The second and third photos show the model as a hardtop.  The background photos show the Chicago skyline at three different times from approximately the same location.  I took the first photo in 1961 using a very simple camera.  I took the second photo in 2011 and the third photo in 2025 on a very foggy day.  For those of you interested in photography, the 1961 picture was originally taken as a slide. It was kept in a box for over 40 years before I had it scanned.

Clever two for one work by Brooklin.  I have done that with some of my custom items.

Did you make or buy the auto transporter trailer?

@ed-davis That's an Ixo item from their subscription truck series. Here's mine:

Correct, Harvey, but  I swapped out the cab for a Brooklin 1953 Dodge COE to go with the Mopar theme.

Ed, that is a beautiful Brooklin model and Plymouth automobile ! It is in a superb color scheme here, too.

I remember when the Prudential Building, near the lakefront and Grant Park, was the tallest skyscraper in Chicago, with it's own observation deck !

The only other model Brooklin ever did close to the accuracy and detail of this one is the NBC 1940 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe.

Ed, I display mine with the hardtop and fender skirts. It looks great next to the convertible top down and without skirts.
