Thank you very much for showing these videos.  I enjoyed them very much.  I did not know about Brooklin models until the late 1990's, and found the history of their early years very interesting.

I have two questions for you or one of the other collectors.

First, the terms Code 1, Code 2, and Code 3 are sometimes mentioned. What do they mean?

Second, the company Brasilia Press is mentioned as a distributor of Brooklin models.  This seems like an odd name for a company distributing model cars. Do you have any background information about Brasilia Press.

Finally, I like your "My Take" shirt.

As I recall, Code 1 = 100% manufacturer produced and Code 3 = entirely modified by individual(s) after leaving the maker's premises (without the maker's involvment or approval). Code 2 (and someone correct me if I am wrong) is a model modified in some way but produced for the modifier by the factory. An example might be a limited special color run for someone who then applies decals and/or parts with tacit approval by the original maker.  Brooklins modified by John Roberts are examples of Code 3 models. Solido used to do some Code 2 models for Boutique Auto Moto in Paris.

Different people, have different definitions for Code 1 2 3...   I use the same defs as Harvey @mg-harv above EXCEPT that code 2 means built/modified by someone else but fully authorized by the factory.

@ed-davis  Brasilia Press distributed Brooklins for a long time in the US - but I have no idea where their name came from... Their website is still running but seems to be many years out of date...

The owner published guide books - maybe why his company was a "Press"?  See https://www.ebay.com/itm/131641266041

@mg-harv The correct definition of a Code 2 is "A model produced at the factory but modified outside the factory with the permission of Brooklin". John Hall used to give Code 2 status to some enhancers, like Dean Paolucci of DMP Studios and John Roberts.

@gianluigi That might be the correct definition for Brooklin. I was referring to the model car community at large.

@mg-harv You are right, but I am a Brooklin addict! However, John Roberts has a Code 2 status not a Code 3.
