I'm sure I'm not the only one who was disappointed when Peter Invers announced that he was no longer producing 1:43 Bantam models. Finding any of these on the secondhand market can be difficult to say the least, especially when most of the series was typically made in editions of no more than 50. So you can imagine my excitement when I came across a few of them for sale.
Featured are a 1930 American Austin Roadster, 1939 Bantam Station Wagons in red and green, a 1931 American Austin Panel Truck (Moen Photo Service), and a 1938 Bantam Boulevard Delivery (Reymer's Chocolates). Somewhere among the storage boxes, I also have a 1930 American Austin Coupe in green and another Boulevard Delivery in red/black.
What other ones are out there? What's in your collection?
what a fantastic set Randy. Love Reymers Chocolates version. Beautiful period lettering and the little 'porthole' sets it off so well.
I got these when they came out. In addition I have the wagon in brown. Since
this photo was taken I have corrected the bend in the hood ornament on the woodie.
@parisi50 Thanks for posting the delivery wagon. That’s the other one I have in my collection (somewhere). Love that color combo.
@parisi50 Like you I got these when they first came out from Peter Invers. For some reason I missed the panel truck but would love to add it if I could find one. Thanks for posting these Randy.
WOW...love them all!
