Continuing with the unique Corgi Classics of the 1960s.
While all of the Corgi Classics models are currently unfairly undervalued, the Renault seems to suffer the most.
Like the rest of the range, it is extremely well made and came in two colour variations. This and the Model T Ford were the only none-British issues in the series.
The 1910 Renault 12/16 was introduced in two colour choices in 1965.
- 9031 – 1910 Renault 12/16 — Lavender
- 9032 – 1910 Renault 12/16 — Primrose
9031 came in an unusual lavender colour which was not well received by adult collectors and even panned in the Great Book of Corgi.
That colour is more collectable today as it was withdrawn in 1966 after only one year, having sold 70,000 units.
9032 an identical car but in a primrose shade lasted until 1967 and proved more popular. The primrose version sold 120,000 units. The Renaults were the only Corgi Classics withdrawn prior to 1969. They came in the same cardboard box as the Ford Model T and Bentley with appropriate labelling on the box end.
Both models accurate representatives of the real car with excellent detail. Both and are modelled in the hood up position. The colour of the spoked wheels matches the car’s body colour.
These models were re-released in the 1980s in silver boxes with generic wheels and colour variations.

The lavender is the one I don't have, along with the red Bentley.
