Yup! They're still around. This edition has mostly airplanes. But it's interesting nonetheless.

In fact, the CTCS show is on today just outside Toronto. I stopped in and ended up with two models. Bought one from David Green who had a table at the show.I also met up with Albert Kopans who was kind enough to bring in one of his models that I had been looking for.
@kenspear It was nice to see you today, Ken! And it was a surprisingly good turnout at the show.
Love all of those in the newsletter, especially the early model Vulcan V-bomber and the giant spaceship from "When World's Collide".
The Dinky Avro Vulcan is exceedingly rare, since the mold broke early on. An original MIB version could set you back 4 figures.

Thank you for the sale Ken. That was a very busy show, especially from 9 to noon. Never got off my feet, lots of sales. Lots of renewed customer contacts.
That Dinky Vulcan has been a recurring part of my life over the years. I bought my first one, mint unboxed for $2 in Ottawa in the 1970s. Did not know much about it then and sold it later that day for $40. A few months later the purchaser showed me that he got 1200 pounds at a UK auction for it. In the late 1980s , I bought two at auctions in Ontario, the first for $12, the second, a little more. The first of these was in excellent condition but unboxed and I sold it for a thousand plus at the CTCS Toronto show during Covid.. The last had a damaged wheel but still sold for $800. Wish I had kept one. They were made of aluminum and difficult to cast resulting in all being shipped to Canada and only about 500 or so being made.
i was asked twice on Sunday if I still had one. One old customer claimed he currently has accumulated 41 of them. Pretty amazing if he has. What an investment now.
I don't have one of the really cool and now expensive Dinky Avro Vulcans, but I still have my Lindberg styrene plastic Avro Mk1 Vulcan. An incredibly neat delta wing V-bomber.
Interesting set of models. I like seeing the airplane models from the past. There have been many improvements in diecast airplanes since then. I have about 25 in 1/72 and 1/48 scales bought in the last 25 years.

@mg-harv I am wondering if anybody remember the Corgi 1/32 scale diecast Collection of War Birds. I bought most of them for my son decades ago and he still have them displayed in his home office. The most impressive and favorite of mine was the Spitfire Battle Scarred. They were all masterpieces of details and craftmanship.
@karl
Thank you Karl. That is indeed impressive.
