It is not everyday you find a model of a car you owned, and in the same color, but I recently managed to do this (almost). Last week I received a 1/43 scale model of a 1970-1972 Datsun 240Z made by Oxford Diecast. I ordered it from Diecast Direct and paid about $50 including shipping. I said almost, since this appears to be a UK version, with steering on the right, slightly different badging, different front turn signal light location, and the lack of the small vertical bumper guards.
For the price, the model is very good. Length and width dimensions are very accurate, overall shape is good, and the yellow color looks fine. The mirrors look too large and there is no evidence of the retractable antenna. Trim around the side windows is painted aluminum. There is even some chassis detail. Before I show some pictures, some comments (my opinions) about the real Datsun 240Z. When introduced in the US in 1970, this car was an instant success, with buyers often waiting 6 months and paying over list price. Compared to its competitors the combination of style, performance, comfort, and reliability made this a great value. When I bought my 1972 model (see last photo) in October 1972, I only had to wait 3 weeks, but had to pay list price.
Oxford Diecast Model
Real UK version of Datsun 240Z. The model has same license plate numbers and letters as real car.
Now a photo of my car taken in 1975 or 1976. Mine has the stock steel wheels and hubcaps. Aluminum wheels were an option; and I think were a dealer installed option. I also bought the dealer installed horizontal bumper guards. I added the driving lights, splash guards, and side protection black strips.
Stay happy and healthy.

Wow - I was unaware thatb Oxford was doing this one since their subjects are usually only UK-based. Always nice to find a model of a car you owned. Kyosho made a terrific version of the 1971 East Africa Safari winner, but I never got a road car.
What is the scale of your Kyosho model? I have a street version of the Kyosho Datsun 240Z in 1/18 scale, see attached photos. This is a 1970 or 1971. My 1972 had some badging differences. Regarding the color, Oxford did a better job of replicating the color.

It is always wonderful to get a close copy of a car that you owned previously. That Oxford model looks quite impressive Ed.
