@larry-kemling. I like the fact they included both top down and top up.

@kenspear Occasionallu there's talk of another 1/43, but nothing seems to come of it. The primary focus now is 1/24. Less competition.

The Packard was on my list since a few years so when i checked on the Buzz's site there was one in Black but it was not my first choice of color because i think to buy maybe also the BRK Limousine in Black. So David sent me pictures of one in Maroon and i went for that one. I agree with you Ben the model is fantastic in all the colors.

Both are by MINIMARQUE 43.

And still more.     The one in the middle is a painted and detailed Danbury Mint pewter item.

The GLM website has several Packards. Are they just future releases?

Here's one that might interest some.  It's a 1946-47 convertible made from a mold sold in the late 40s.  Just over 5 inches in length, it is longer than 1/43, as well as much heavier than expected, nearly a full pound.  It was made by the Eccles Bros. firm around 1990 and, if I remember correctly, I bought it new.  It's interesting even if somewhat crude by modern standards.

(later) Oh yes, I think that Packard did not build a convertible in 46-47, and the '48 convertible used a different body, the slab-sided Packard.  Interesting toy.
