AUTOart released a 3rd Gen MX-5 Miata a while back. This appears to be a 2006 Mazdaspeed version in a color close to Copper Red Mica. I bought this from oldtoystoreusa and I think it came from the Dick Brown estate.

Thanks Harv, another great Miata model. I currently have a 1994 Miata NA and had a 1996 previously.

I recently got this EBBRO first series MAZDA MX-5 from the 1996 last year of the first generation. This one with BBR Wheels and black body.

 The Japanese call the Miata, Eunos.

@david-green I missed out on the early Ebbros - so I have no 1st or 2nd Gen cars except for a Johnny Lightning 1:64 that looks just like my 2000 Miata. I guess I should start looking again.

Do you know of any Mazda RX-7 models in 1/43 scale?  I assume there were some before I started collecting in this scale, but i have not seen any.

Hi Ed,

It depends on what year you are looking for but I imagine most versions of the RX-7 were made.

Ebbro did the 1978 version as did Norev(Hatchette) currently available with a magazine in several countries.

Kyosho did several including the first version and later ones. Here are two Kyosho models.

@david-green

Thank you.  My interest is the first generation and third generation, sometimes referred to as FB and FD versions.  I had a 1982 RX-7 (first generation) from 1982 to 1993.  I bought a 1993 RX-7 (third generation) in 1993, which I still own.  I am familiar with the first and third generation 1/18 scale models by Kyosho, and have their third generation one.  I did not know they made 1/43 scale versions.  I learn something everyday!

1990 First Generation Mazda MX-5 Miata (Eunos) by Ebbro.

P1090636
P1090637

P1090638
P1090639

 When introduced in October, 1989, this Miata only was sold with three colour choices, white, red and blue. This one is a right hand drive version for Japan.

Harv, I have a couple of Generation two models in 1/43 but I cannot currently find them. Too many storage boxes. I do like those smaller Johnny Lightning ones and have several colours of those.
