Just about every American household today seems to have the modern equivalent of the station wagon, and it wasn't long before SUVs found their way into police forces as well. I have two by First Response. First up is a 2011 Chevy Tahoe, now exhibiting the black-on-tan THP license plates introduced in 1991. The rear photo doesn't show it well, but the number begins with "1" denoting the car is used in Tennessee's THP District 1, which includes where I live.
I also have a 2014 Ford P1 Utility. The number 5 on the plate denotes District 5 in upper east Tennessee.
That brings an end to my week of Tennessee Highway Patrol vehicles. I wonder who else in this Forum collects their own state's police vehicles?

Interesting justification for color variations by the Chief....not sure I agree. Lol.
I quite enjoyed your Tennessee Highway Patrol feature this week Harv. Thank you for sharing.
