Here's one that hasn't been out of its display case in a while. You're right! It's not new. But if you can find it, you will have a 1/43 model that just isn't being produced anymore. I also like the wheels with their pretty good illusion of multi-spokes. (Click on any picture to enlarge them.)
And here's the list of all those models from "back then." (It's on the bottom of the stand you're seeing.)
Enjoy! For great old pictures and good information on this one, see https://www.thehenryford.org/collections-and-research/digital-collections/expert-sets/11019/

Hi David,
Nice Minaluxe! While I don't have this one, I have quite a few others in storage. They used to be looked down on because they were plastic but I always found them fascinating and attractive. With the exception of their Jaguars, I like the earliest pre WW1 models best but have them up to the 1960s. Unfortunately the earlier plastic cases have all turned yellow.
I have found my two Jaguar E-Types by Minialuxe and have added them to the Jaguars in 1/43 scale section.
I found another of these old Minialuxe models, and yes it's plastic. ( Touch the picture with your cursor for enlargement.)
For a great and beautifully detailed account of this race, settle back and go to:

And here's an historical photo of the real car in the race.

@joop Are you sure that's not Rio No. 16?
@joop Joop's and David's came with those innovative (for the 1960s) scored clear disks to imitate wire wheels! My Skiff on the other hand looks like this!
